CHELMSFORD MCwww.chelmsfordmc.co.uk

The event will be a full day/evening on 28th March 11am to 11pm, based around Woodbridge in Suffolk and with evening forest selectifs and navigational sections - it will be deliberately low-budget, being so close to the Audi SW.

The event is based at the Holiday Inn in Ipswich and supports the East Anglian Air Ambulance; last year CMC rallies raised over £2000 for the charity.

Starting on Saturday lunchtime, the 180 mile day route will be based around MoD Woodbridge, with afternoon up to forty miles of selectifs at various Suffolk venues linked by some pretty country lanes.

After a supper halt in Ipswich a night leg of around 100 miles will commence with around twenty miles of selectifs in the local forests and at Woodbridge airfield followed by a simple navigational sections on tarmac lanes and bringing the event to a finish with an awards presentation at midnight back at the Holiday Inn.

Details and regs will be on their website very soon.

Put the date in your diary, the Salisbury and Shaftesbury Car Club is already planning its next event for Endurance Cars. It will be the season opener for 2009 and the third running of the Great Bustard Rally. We have lots of new ideas to make the event even better. We will again be offering our Endurance Intro Class to encourage newcomers to the sport in standard 1400cc cars.  The rally will be run in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. We will start on the Saturday afternoon with selectifs on farms, woodland and airfields used on the 2008 Bustard including Worthy Farm, and some new venues. After a supper halt there will be a night road rally section before a few hours rest halt over Saturday night. Sunday morning there will be more selectifs before a finish back in Somerset for lunch and awards.  Supplementary Regulations and entry form will be available from the website soon.
