Endurance Road Rally Championship 2009

10 inches of overnight snow have left organisers with the difficult but understandable decision to postpone the opening round.

Test venues like Longleat and King Alfred's Tower are impassable.

Set-up crews are stuck on the A 303 so an early decision was taken to stop crews making an unnecessary journey.

It's hoped the rally will take place later in the year to make sure the championship has a good number of events.

Latest News at 21:00 5/2/09:
 
We have been out setting up the tests today and most of the venues are OK at the moment.
 
Local forecasts are now predicting there could be heavy snowfall overnight.
 
We will look at the situation again in the morning and make a final decision as to whether the event will run by 13:00, and will post on here.
 
Should the event be cancelled, we will attempt to contact all competitors and officials by phone and email.
