ENDURO FEST

 

Here follows a report from the chief ‘Fest’........................................

 

Endurofest 2008 - 5/6 July

 

An incredible response to the 1st Neuroses with numbers on Saturday exceeding 65.  Many existing faces as well as new faces.  James Newbould at GPR kindly sponsored the event providing lunch and dinner on Saturday for all.  

 

Friday night started with many arrivals - first to arrive were the ever friendly faces of the Fields, followed shortly by the ever abusive Miles, the good value for money Manchester boys and the eager South Hams contingency.  Many drinks were had by all on Friday so proceedings on Saturday started after lunch to allow for maximum recovery time!

 

The professional tuition by both Graham and Andy was extremely informative and well received - as was the humorous, yet informative car prep talk.

 

This all led into some evening activities involving cars and a rather awkward bike.  Much fun was had whilst participating in Matts activities only slightly interrupted by the arrival of a mass of pizzas.  Later on Saturday Cath (Woodman) laid on a very good and usefull 12 car for the less experienced crews.

 

Back at the campsite, results were announced and beer being handed out to the Hollinghams for their 12 car victory.

 

Beer and wine was drank to excess during the early hours before the elements got the best of us all.

 

A total success on all counts which has secured this as part of the rallying calendar and will be much more of the same next July!  All this fun for £10.  Look forward to seeing you all and more at Endurofest 2009.

PS- Oh, there was an autotest on Sunday which was very wet!!

Couldn’t find a picture from the Enduro Fest of the chief organiser Jamie, however, could only find this very very rare picture of JT making the tea.  Yes that’s right, Jamie making the tea - happens as often as a solar eclipse!!!
